Lois D. (Koestler) Tomoson, 90, of Sabetha, Kansas, formerly of Olathe, Kansas went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha, Kansas. We'd like to thank the A.C.Home staff for the wonderful care Lois received.
Lois was born on January 13, 1930 in Kerkhoven, Minnesota the daughter of Melvin and Alice (Stewart) Koestler. Lois married Albert L. Tomoson, January 9, 1953, being married 41 years. Lois attended Nursing School and received her LPN degree. She enjoyed 60 years in the field of nursing, the majority of her career as a Surgical Scrub Nurse. She also worked as a Nursing Home Care Nurse, and a Private Care Nurse.
In retirement Lois enjoyed volunteering at her church through the Children's Bus Ministry and the Food Ministry. She also worked as a School Crossing guard for children.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; sister, Elayne Toutges; and brothers, Junior and Kenneth Koestler.
Lois is survived by her son, Glen (Barb) Tomoson; daughters, Leatrice (John) Atwood, Joyce (Dave) Baker, Sharon (Robert) Arnold; sons, James (Rhonda) Tomoson, and Dennis Tomoson; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; brother, Marlin Koestler; sister, Eleanor Toutges; and a special niece, Jeanette Meyer.
