Wendy Lenore Street, 64, died Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Sabetha Manor in Sabetha, Kansas. She was born on October 14, 1956 the daughter of Abrahm and Arlene (Rettew) Shank in Ephrata, Pennsylvania.
Wendy grew up and graduated from high school in Pennsylvania. She was an over the road truck driver and worked for many different transportation companies. Her last trucking job was with Palmer Trucking Company in Salina, Kansas. In 2000, she started employment with the Golden Eagle Casino in the Bingo Hall in Horton, Kansas. She worked at the casino until 2003 when her declining health forced her to retire. Wendy loved her cats. The Sabetha Manor was her home over the past several years.
Wendy is survived by her sister, Lesley Shank, of Dawson, Nebraska; her brother, Michael Lee Shank, of Pennsylvania; her niece, Connie Steiner, of Hiawatha, Kansas; and her nephew, George Steiner, of Georgia.
Wendy chose cremation. No services will be held. Inurnment will be in Pennsylvania at a later date and time. Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha, Kansas is assisting the family.
